Who we are
We recruit for the roles we have held ourselves
Lean Mining was founded in 2023. Its founders bring more than thirty years of hands-on experience as Maintenance Managers, Superintendents and Asset Reliability personnel, in both large and small mining companies.
That is the whole premise. We have planned the work, run the shutdowns, argued the budgets and lived with the consequences of a maintenance strategy that looked fine on paper. So when a team tells us what they need, we already understand the roster, the systems, the plant and the standard.
It is also why we do not stop at identifying value-adding initiatives. We support every stage of implementation, and we make sure what we leave behind is something your team can realistically maintain once we are gone.

Safety
A safety culture, not a safety policy
We select people who take the standard seriously, brief them properly before they walk through the gate, and back them without hesitation when they stop the job.
Our people know the expectation, and they know we will not undercut them for raising something. Compliance is closed out before anyone mobilises, and incidents, near misses and hazards are reported through to your systems.
