What we collect and who sees it

Written plainly, because the people most affected by it are tradespeople sending us a CV, not lawyers.

Who we are

Lean Mining Pty Ltd (ABN 52 672 574 622), trading as Lean Workforce and Lean Asset Management, of 10/320 Adelaide Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. We hold Queensland Labour Hire Licence LHL-08566-W5X8B.

If you send us a CV

We collect what you put in the careers form — your name, email address, phone number, the role or trade you are after, anything you add in the notes, and the CV itself. As a placement progresses we usually also need your tickets, licences and verifications of competency, your right-to-work status, and the results of any medicals a site requires.

We use it to work out whether we can place you, to put you forward for roles, and to meet the compliance obligations that come with labour hire licensing.

Who we share it with

Client sites. Placing you means sending your details to the operation that is hiring — that is how a placement happens. We provide your CV as a Lean Mining candidate profile with your personal contact details removed, but the client sees your work history, qualifications and the tickets you hold. Site inductions and contractor management systems require more again, including verification documents.

Our systems. Your details sit in the recruitment, compliance and document systems we run the business on, including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, and recruitment platforms such as SEEK where that is where we found you or where we track applications.

Where the law requires it. Regulators including Queensland's Office of Industrial Relations, workers' compensation insurers, and anyone else we are legally obliged to provide information to.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.

How long we keep it

If we do not place you, we keep your details for two years from the last time we were in contact, so that we can come back to you when something suitable comes up. After that we delete them. If we do place you, employment and safety records are kept for as long as the law requires, which is longer.

You can ask us to delete your details at any point before that, and we will, except where we are required to keep something.

If you send an enquiry

The contact form collects your name, company, email address, phone number and your message. We use it to answer you and to keep track of the conversation. It goes to our own inbox and stays there — it is not added to a marketing list.

If you visit the site

This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising. Our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers.

How we hold it

Form submissions are sent to a mailbox inside our own Microsoft 365 tenant rather than through any third-party form service. Access is limited to the people in the business who need it. Some of the services we use store data outside Australia; where that is the case we rely on the provider's own protections.

Getting at your information, or having it removed

Email admin@leanmining.com.au and ask. You can request a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for it.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, tell us first so we have a chance to put it right. If that does not resolve it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change how we handle any of this, we will update this page and change the date at the top.

Questions about any of this?

Ask us directly rather than wondering. We would rather explain it than have you hold back on an application.
